| Grand Opening Celebration Of Crucible's Meadville, PA Expansion |

| Crucible's expansion of the Meadville service center has been completed with the addition of 8,000 sq ft. The total warehousing square footage is now 18,000. As well, additional equipment and storage has been installed. We have installed three saws (Hyd Mech 40, Amada 500 and Amada 250) to compliment the existing six cut off saws. Other equipment includes: 3 pigeon hole racks, 140 feet of I beam racking and 5 pallet racks. Meadville also has a 3 tons Chevrolet delivery truck to ensure the best service for our growing customer base.
On June 22nd, Crucible celebrated the Grand Opening of the new Meadville facility with a Pig Roast. This event was attended by 109 customers and many Crucible personnel from around the country. It was a great day and a perfect way to show our new facility to our customers, as well as, our appreciation for their business. |

 Crucible Service Centers, a division of Crucible Materials Corporation, has formally broken ground for construction of a new 66,000 sq ft service center in the Town of Springboro, a suburb of the city of Dayton, Ohio. The facility will bring approximately 50 new jobs to the Dayton area. The development of this 6 acre site has been contracted with Cincinnati Commercial Contracting, Inc. A formal groundbreaking ceremony was held on June 27th. Construction is underway with a completion date before year end
This state-of-the-art facility will be critical to continued growth of Crucible's tool and high speed steel businesses as well as our high performance CPM (Crucible Particle Metallurgy) materials in Central Ohio and surrounding areas. Crucible is the market leader for tooling materials in North America.

| Crucible Service Centers, a division of Crucible Materials Corporation headquartered in Syracuse, NY, has announced the expansion of its Meadville, PA facility. Construction began earlier this month and is expected to be completed by the end of the 4th quarter. Crucible began operations in Meadville in March 1995. The expansion will nearly double the current warehouse space and includes additional equipment, as well as further employment opportunities. "We are extremely proud of the success that our Meadville team has enjoyed over the past 11 years in Western Pennsylvania and Western New York. Crucible's expansion strategy is on going and has been hugely successful. Meadville is the second expansion of our service center operations in 2006 following the opening of our Chatham, Ontario facility earlier this year. | Crucible Materials announces plans to upgrade annealing and heat treating facility |

| Syracuse, NY (August 3, 2005) - Crucible Materials Corporation (CMC) announced a major capital program to install a new high temperature furnace and upgrade its quench equipment in the Heat Treat area at their Specialty Metals facility located in Syracuse, NY. This state of the art furnace will be manufactured by Olson Industries of Pennsylvania. The unique tilt-furnace design will handle higher throughput, require less maintenance and be more energy efficient than any of the high temperature furnaces currently in operation. Installation of the new furnace, scheduled for the first quarter of 2006, will expand the high temperature annealing and heat treating capacity by 35%. Additional capital will be allocated to upgrade the oil quench facility, as well as material handling equipment. Together, these projects will allow Crucible to meet the increased market demand for stainless long products. |

| Crucible Compaction Metals Conducts 5 S Event |

| A full 5 S housekeeping program has been initiated at Crucible Compaction Metals. The elements of a 5 S program are Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain. It is a powerful system used by leading companies to help eliminate waste, dirt, clutter, inefficiency, and other barriers to excellence. A consultant, Catalyst Connection, has been contracted to train management and labor personnel, set-up the program, and supervise events. A plant-wide meeting was held to explain the importance of this program. On July 5, the first event was held in the Maintenance and Welding Departments. During the four day event, all production activity was suspended in those areas. Similar events will be held in all areas of the plant over the next several months until all employees are fully trained and the entire facility has implemented 5 S.

Prior to Jean's employment at Crucible, she worked at Allegheny Ludlum (J&L Midland) in a similar capacity. Jean received her Masters Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and her Bachelors Degree in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science from Carnegie Mellon University. | Crucible Research is proud to announce that Fred Yolton was presented with the Edgar C. Bain award at an ASM International awards ceremony on January 22, 2004.
The award was instituted by the Golden Triangle Chapter of ASM to honor an outstanding member of the chapter for valuable contributions to the metallurgical and materials professions. The award reflects the high ideals and devotion of Dr. Bain.
Fred has been an employee of Crucible Research for forty years and has devoted much of his career to developing gas atomization techniques for titanium powders. Fred has authored over 70 papers and holds 10 patents.

| NASA awards Crucible Research "Turning Goals Into Reality" Award for developing and scaling up production of a new, creep resistant, high strength high thermal conductivity alloy (GRCop-84) that far exceeds the capabilities of today's alloys for use in future space vehicles. Use of the alloy will reduce manufacturing cost, cut delivery time, and increase service life. This alloy has commercial applications for permanent molds and dyes for plastic and metal injection molding, longer life plasma spray nozzles, welding electrodes for automotive and appliance assembly lines.
